icelandic images and adventure

A trip like no other.

Drawn to Iceland to attend the Possible photography workshop with Ed Peers, Jesh DeRox and Gabe McClintock Photography.   Connection is what drives my interest in photography (and medicine), and these guys get it.   Travel makes me feel alive.  These guys get it.  Left Iceland with much more than a workshop experience.   Amazement, peace, introspection, enlightenment, fulfillment, validation.   In LIFE, in photography, in connection, in friendships new and old.   Nothing short of incredible.

Adventured with my husband, Casey, and friend Errin from Errin Hiltbrand Photography.  Blessed by the opportunity to be the subjects for a shoot by Twig and Olive Photography while there as well.   Have I mentioned we haven’t had “just us” photos since our wedding 15yrs ago?  Somehow four busy boys tend to overshadow the couple that started this life of ours.  Love them to pieces, but a great reminder not to forget where our journey started.  Us.  (Thanks grandma for manning the fort during our getaway!)

The couple above was from Denver, CO.   On a 2month adventure to Europe and Africa with a stop in Iceland en route.

This Swedish man about 70yo had just completed 2 weeks of biking the perimeter of the Icelandic island.  He’s also biked from Seattle to Washington DC.
