The Four Brothers | Romping in Yellowstone | Yellowstone National Park

“Behold!  The whole country beyond was smoking with the vapor from boiling springs, and burning gasses, issuing from small craters . . . ”    -joe meek, fur trapper . 1829

Do you know about the Every Kid in a Park program?  Fabulous.  Every 4th grader in the United States is granted a FREE pass to all National Parks.  This grants them, *and their family*, free entrance to all our nation’s parks to explore, learn and make memories among some of the most incredible places in America.  Kids that just wrapped up 3rd grade can get their 4th grade passes starting September 1st, 2016.  The passes are valid for 1 year.  Start planning your next adventure!

Thanks, Drew, for being in 4th grade this year . . . our whole family came out ahead on this one!   Even met up with a couple of boy cousins.  We counted bison (more than 1,000 by trip’s end!), grizzlies, black bears, elk, pronghorn, moose and several other animals along the route.   Smelled sulfur springs that reminded us of farts, and saw “farting” mud pots and thermal springs of all colors  – a boy’s ideal vacation, no?  Invaluable to hear and see the excitement as they experienced Yellowstone National Park, and 1 night in Grand Teton National Park at Colter Bay in an 80+ year old cabin.

2 more years and we’ll have another 4th grader!  Where to next . . . ?!?
